Our HIV and AIDS policy

The main purpose of the policy is to protect rights, create safety,support health and guide programs. IMPILO COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT CENTER HIV/AIDS POLICY 1. Policy Statement Our NPO recognizes HIV/AIDS as a workplace and community issue. We commit to a non-discriminatory, supportive environment for all people affected by HIV. 2. Principles 2.1 No person will be required to disclose HIV status 2.2 No testing for recruitment or continued employment 2.3 HIV status will be treated as confidential medical information 2.4 Reasonable accommodation will be made for employees affected by HIV 3. Prevention & Education The organization will provide HIV awareness training annually and make condoms available at our offices. 4. Support & Care Staff affected by HIV will be supported through medical aid referrals, counseling referrals, and flexible work arrangements where possible. 5. Breach of Policy Discrimination or breach of confidentiality related to HIV status will result in disciplinary action.
